Three lighthouse keepers arrive on a deserted island. Thomas, James and Donald begin their duties at the lighthouse until one day they encounter something strange, something that is not exactly what a lighthouse keeper should watch. Things get complicated when they see a ship that could have all the answers, triggering a series of progressively tragic events. Based on the legend of the island of Flannan.

I, in particular, do not like English cinema, but the truth is that it seems to look good as people comment in the reviews, although the argument does not seem to give much of itself:
“Bad script, at a rate lacking in energy and excessive duration. Fortunately the great photography accentuated by a very accurate setting together with level interpretations save this film from more absolute disaster”
“He manages to surprise even if he fails to really surprise, it’s a film that takes on a worn out situation and gives him innovative pain while trying – perhaps with too much emphasis – solve a mystery that would probably be more mysterious than whatever the writer cooked up.”
